Applications for Louise Reichlin & Dancers/ Los Angeles Choreographers & Dancers

Will be looking for 2-3 Dancers to augment our core dancers for projects through June 30, 2025 Professional dancers: modern/contemporary, strong ballet and jazz background, strong tap for some repertory, strong stage presence, ability to create characters for some parts, expressiveness, musicality, and technique. Floor work is important and ability to improvise helpful. All ethnic types. Solo parts. Also looking for Dance Teaching Artists. This is for our general performances and we also have contracts for school residencies.

All dancers should be fully vaccinated and tested

Rehearsal hours beg April 1, 2024  pay $21 an hour and performances $200- $400. Teaching Artists usually team teach, and are each paid $31-$39 per class (usually 45 minutes) usually with 2-5 at a time.  A new category is Dancer/Administrator, and for that dancers work an additional 5 hours a week (real or virtual) and that and rehearsal pay rises to $22 an hour.

Rehearsal times are Tues, & Thurs 10am -1 when in full rehearsal at Level Up, 5873 W Third LA 90036 or at Everybody Dance, 2955 Wilshire Blvd, LA, so should clear schedule for that.  Rehearsals begin when hired as company is in residence for a summer program and in rehearsal for performances July 12-14 at the Ivy Substation.

Apprentice program reactivated. Now that Covid is getting more under control, we are also looking for several apprentices that will get free company classes and rehearsals, and although no stipend for this, there is pay if performing or assisting with our residency teaching.

Company Manager

Company Manager needed (part-time, combining on site and virtual). Should be computer literate with Word, Excel, Adobe, etc. WordPress for web a plus. Should be comfortable on phone and Zoom with schools, presenters, etc. $25 an hour, up to 20 hrs a week.

Administrative Employment through USC

We hire administrative assistance on a regular basis through USC’s Work-Study program. Due to budget constraints and our relationship with USC, we ONLY hire USC work-studies. Please see the Job Board at USC. Openings for Office Helper and Marketing Assistant.  Duties may include administration, video shooting & editing, stage management/lighting, and music editing with on line and live work this season.
